Description
Participants will make their own comic strip while practicing essential storytelling and comic-making skills, with help from writers and illustrators. Their strips will be published in a hand bound anthology.
Comics, also called sequential art, are a major medium whose multimedia nature engages different learning styles simultaneously. For those who don’t regularly draw or write, creating a comic seems daunting or impossible. Our project makes it fun and easy to learn and practice the skills for creating comics.
Our format allows people with or without drawing ability to make a comic, empowering them to continue creating after the project concludes. We will offer an optional prompt to participants, which is to explore a moment of wonder inspired by an experience in Northern Arizona.
