Zines (zeens) are DIY, self-published pamphlets/books that defy rules, make information accessible, and empower voices through visual & written arts. Create your own zine using upcycled materials in community.
Zines are a way to empower often marginalized voices and make information accessible to all peoples through its distribution strategy and self-publication methods. Anyone and everyone can make a zine just as much as anyone can read a zine.
Participants can join on their own for free and leave with their own zine or contribute their zine to a larger library of Flagstaff zines to be showcased in a Little Library that will travel around Flagstaff and have “residencies” in different locations.
