Curated, collaborative, free music performances in partnership with ARTx grantees and venues, to musically enhance the experience.
Julie Sullivan Brace, musician, co-founder of Pickin’ in the Pines Bluegrass Festival, Director of Roots & Boots Music Camp, and Creative Director of Shine Creative Industries will identify local and regional musicians to provide live performances for the duration of the ARTX festival.
Musicians will be at various locations, including the kick-off and closing celebrations. The performances are designed to please audiences and participants of the festival, and to guide attendees toward various locations of ArtX exhibits and experiences. Music performances will include blues, jazz, experiential music, folk and bluegrass, classical, a DJ Pool Party, a public jam by Flagstaff Friends of Traditional Music, and small music participatory events such as: a yodel Flash mob, music making for youth, how to jam and more.
