This project is an immersive exploration into the depths of the natural world, starting with a lecture on the intersection of physics, indigenous perspectives, and emotional ways of knowing, followed by an earth-based meditation to guide us into our gift of perception, and concluded by a film on the wisdom of trees connecting three of the great beings of planet earth: Ponderosa Pine, Giant Sequoia, and Ancient Bristlecone Pine.
The concept is a threefold immersive experience into the depths and subtleties of the natural world that will all happen outside in the ponderosa pine forest surrounding Flagstaff: A Lecture titled “The Physicist and the Shaman: Perspectives on the Speaking Earth”, a guided earth-based meditation, and a Speaking Earth Productions Film on the Wisdom of trees and connecting three of the great beings of planet earth.
This project was a powerful experience at the ARTx 2023 pilot, and for 2024 will be even more impactful with an evolved version of the lecture, a new earth-based meditation, and a new professional quality film that will showcase the wisdom of trees like never before seen. In addition, experiencing all of this outside in the Ponderosa Pine forest of Flagstaff will elevate the experience to something that will stay with attendees for life.
