Description

There are two human beings who hold the deepest understanding of the natural world; the physicist, and the shaman. This lecture, guided meditation, and film will explore the wisdom these two beings hold of the natural world for our human community, the things they see, feel, and understand. This is an exploration of the wisdom of old, of relationship, of science, emotion, and perception. A merging of western and indigenous perspectives to give us the clearest and deepest view into the natural world and the infinite webs of relationship of which we are part. You need only bring your human body to this lecture and experience, as the earth itself in human form you have every instrument needed for understanding.

With acknowledgment and reverence of pine trees and volcanic mountains who have been my guides and teachers, of the lands of the Colorado Plateau, and of their people, who hold its wisdom in human bodies.

Erick Gonzalez is an athlete, teacher, and student of the earth living in Flagstaff, Arizona.

He holds a B.S. in Physics from the University of Texas at Dallas, completed graduate courses at Arizona State University, and has spent countless time deepening into presence and perception to learn from the speaking earth. Erick writes earth-based poetry and runs Speaking Earth Productions.

He is considered one of the best mountain unicyclists in the world and is pushing the possibilities of motion on one wheel while providing an example of how to ride as an expression and in connection with land.

Erick’s greater purpose is in guiding others towards a deeper connection to the earth and ourselves so that we may experience the deepest magic of life while living in reciprocity with all things.
