Creative Flagstaff is pleased to announce the grant funding of thirty experiences during the inaugural ten day event, set for May 17-26, 2024 in Flagstaff, Arizona. These grant funded experiences create the core of ARTx: Art + Ideas Experience Arizona, an opportunity to empower people of all ages and backgrounds, through experiential and cross-disciplinary learning and discovery in arts and culture.

This year’s experiences encapsulate the core values established over several years of planning and vision refinement: citywide activations, creating opportunity for community change through the arts, catalytic experiences and community building. They include fabric art, opera, literature, poetry, improv, puppets and more. Each one utilizes art as a bridge to connect with contemporary issues, like drought, mental health, forgiveness and others.

A full listing of this year’s grantee experiences can be found below, with many more collaboration or fringe experiences and events scheduled to coincide as part of the larger ARTx footprint. We hope you’ll join us this May to participate in this free, community focused event to celebrate the unique creative identity of our area.
